Reddam House Waterfall Campus is a school where education transcends borders and embraces the global community. At Reddam House Waterfall, we firmly believe in providing a transformative educational experience that extends beyond the confines of the classroom, empowering our students to become future leaders in a rapidly evolving world.

As a global-minded institution, we are committed to nurturing each student and preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of an interconnected world. Here's how our approach focuses on global benefits for our students:

Diverse Perspectives: Our school is a melting pot of cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. The gift of this diversity broadens their horizons, fosters cultural understanding, and develops a rich tapestry of perspectives.

International Curriculum: Our carefully designed curriculum incorporates global themes and challenges, encouraging our students to think critically and creatively about issues that transcend national boundaries. We choose to focus on both understanding global affairs and learning to approach problem-solving with a global outlook.

Collaborative Learning: Working on projects and assignments with students from our different Inspire group of school promotes teamwork, adaptability, and effective communication across cultures.

Our association with the NCUK programme further offers options for our students to study abroad: Embrace enriching experiences through our study abroad programme, where you can immerse yourself in new cultures, learn from leading institutions worldwide, and build lifelong connections across borders.

At Reddam House Waterfall, we aspire to cultivate compassionate, open-minded, and adaptable global citizens who can make meaningful contributions to society. Our commitment to your growth, both academically and personally, extends far beyond the classroom, ensuring you are ready to embrace the world's opportunities and challenges.

Join us on this exciting journey of global discovery, where knowledge knows no borders, and the possibilities are limitless.

A Journey Defined by Excellence

In 2012, the Early Learning School, Preparatory and Secondary School opened. The school quickly established a reputation for outstanding outcomes and became widely respected, both nationally and internationally. In 2013, the student body comprised 1000 students, and demand continues to grow each year.

Students are welcomed into a classically-constructed wood and stone school - a charming building, ideally suited to our Waterfall campus' rustic, green setting. The tranquil grounds offer an inspiring atmosphere of discovery, learning, and unlimited growth.

A History of Service

"Tutum Te Rebore Reddam"

The Reddam motto originates in Scottish history with the first Monarch of Crawford, who saved King David the First of Scotland from certain death by a stag during a hunting expedition. The Monarch of Crawford adopted the motto “Tutum Te Rebore Reddam”, which means “I will keep you safe by my strength".

Subsequently, his coat of arms included a stag’s head, symbolising the monarch's bravery. Upon marrying his wife, the monarch included the fleur-de-lis in his coat of arms, and the Crawford clan's coat of arms incorporates the stag and fleur-de-lis to this day.

In 1999, Mrs Crawford-Kempster, Director of Reddam House, worked with Mr Burnell, the State Herald at the Bureau of Heraldry in Pretoria, to create a coat of arms for Reddam House. To honour the family's history, the coat of arms incorporates elements of the stag and the fleur-de-lis. Our school motto is “We shall give back”, which reminds our students of the importance of contributing to the community.

Bev has been immersed in Education for almost forty years and has circumnavigated the full spectrum of educative phases. Being a lifelong student, she started off by completing a Higher Diploma of Education majoring in Mathematics, followed by a BA Degree and Honours Degree in Psychology and finally married the two disciplines when completing her master’s degree and PhD in the Psychology of Education.

Her teaching career spans over many years in both teaching and management positions. In 2011 she entered corporate education working at AdvTech as a National Academics Co-Ordinator. This position encompassed working with teachers and management in the various brands of schools and allowed her to research international trends in education and allowed her many opportunities to visit schools both nationally and internationally. In 2015 she joined Reddam House Early Learning School, the one phase that was missing in my teaching career. Managing staff and young children aged one to six in a Reggio Inspired school is her swan song.

She is inspired daily by  young children aged one to six who have encouraged her to actively listen, closely engage and share their joy of learning.
